Fr. Craig Hall naming & dedication PDF Print E-mail

Another milestone reached in my timeline of photography with the conclusion of documenting a memorial moment for St Joseph Church in Firebaugh, CA.

Sunday Jan 25th, 2009 was the date of an important day for the residents of Firebaugh as the naming and dedication ceremony took place for Fr. Craig Hall. I was commissioned to document this event and capture the moments as I normally do for events in regards to photography.

Father Craig  F. Harrison began the event by celebrating Mass with those who attended to participate in the ceremony. He then spoke a little with the people before the actual opening of the parish hall and then enjoyed the dinner and reception with everyone in side the hall. There was musical celebration, a feast, and several positive expressions of Thanks and memories revisited with Fr. Craig.

All in all... it was a great for Firebaugh and everyone who shared in the celebration

As for my photography for this event, I managed to constantly switch out between my kit lens and my 50mm. While the lighting was a bit of a challenge for me, it proved to be quite angelic in some areas and perfect for the mood I was trying to capture. I did find myself wishing I had a faster peice of glass but we can only make do with what we have at the moment. I am just grateful for the images I was able to produce.

Jenny Christ Rock'n It Out PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 18 January 2009 12:12

Jenny Christ is another one of my repeat clients. She enjoys our sessions and the resulting images so much that she finds herself rescheduling other shoots. I believe this was my second shoot with her and we have a third scheduled for the near future.

My last session with her was purely indoors so this session we started to take it outdoors. I was a bit worried that the weather wasn't going to allow for us to work comfortably outside but it wasn't too bad and Jenny is a trooper who is up for pretty much anything. She is another easy to work with model.

Feel free to check her out and say Hi at MySpace.com/GraveyardQueen.

Krisie Cuenca Session One PDF Print E-mail

This is session one of Kristie C. I met her at a local nightclub in Fresno, CA and she expressed interest in a photo shoot. I handed her my business card and we later scheduled a session. She said it was her first "professional" photo shoot and she could of fooled me because she did really well during the session.

The images from this session came out very well and she was very happy with the final images. So much that she has returned for a second session of more seductive posing and images. Keep checking back here or at the MySpace profile at MySpace.com/chican0 for the update of her second session.

Iryl & Sydney PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 18 January 2009 12:01

Some of you may recognize one of the females in this set named Sydney De La Cerda. I had recently photographed her earlier in the year and she recommended her friend, Iryl, to pose for me as well. Iryl and I set a date and Sydney came along for the fun.

I really like this set a lot because it is a bit more colorful than some of the sessions I have done in the past. Iryl's outfits were great matches for the background I used for her session. Sydney also jumped in front of the camera to help Iryl get a little courage to break out and bust some poses for the camera. However, only one image of Sydney made it to the final 9 retouched image selections. That's OK though since this session was mainly for Iryl in the first place.

Veronica the Fire Starter PDF Print E-mail

This was one of my "fun" photo shoots. Vero needed some good images for her birthday event flyer so we did a session. We had a couple themes in mind but didn't really jump on them. The theme we actually went through with kinda came to use as we were leaving the parking lot from the movies near our home.

Just as we pulled out of the parking lot, we spotted some vans across the street which were burned to a crisp. Obviously an act of arson had recently happened at the local business. Right away we both invisioned her standing in front of the vans with a cigarette lighter in hand so to pull off the look that she was the one who did the malicious act.

We were pretty happy with the resulting images.

Amber and a lil' Christmas PDF Print E-mail

Amber needed a few good pictures for a special someone who is serving for our country overseas. Being that Christmas was just around the corner, we figured we would do some nice Christmas themed Super Sexy shots for him. We hope these images were the perfect gift and met his heart's content. :)

My session with Jessica Lizama of ExoticJess.com stunned me. I was truly impressed with myself and the quality of images we were able to create. She was a great person to work with and open for anything I was able to throw at her.

We shot these images at her place which was nicely decorated by her husband. The colors and theme throughout the house proved to be the perfect setup for her shoot and what she wanted to do. Be on the lookout for these images and more on her website at www.ExoticJess.com

Crystal & Nebie Couples Shoot PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 18 January 2009 11:39

It's been a while since I shot a couple. This time Crystal and Nebie stopped by the house and I happened to have a backdrop setup for a shoot that had just canceled to reschedule. What a coincidence that they came over shortly after I got the call from the person canceling the scheduled shoot. Isn't that how it sometimes happens... spur of the moment and for no apparent reason.

Well, Crystal and Nebie haven't had any sort of formal portraits of themselves so I got them to pose for a couple frames. These shots should be considered snap shots since there really wasn't much effort or thought put into this one. Plus there is pretty much no post production work on these either other than some slight lighting and exposure adjustments.

Elizabeth Rae a.k.a. ModelChick PDF Print E-mail

Elizabeth Rae a.k.a. ModelChick contacted me on MySpace and inquired about getting some head shots done. She liked the work that is on this site and thought she would give me a try. So once again I had a good reason to put the Lasher Studio to use again.

Head shots aren't hard to create and they are especially simply when you have someone very easy to work with such as ModelChick. There were no hassles or complications and the entire session went quickly and smoothly. I wish all sessions were as simple as this.
