Getting Fat!

What the hell? I worked out today for a good hour and half. I was sweating like who knows what and certainly burning several calories. My legs and arms were burning from the intense workout. On the way out of the gym, after my shower and clean up, I happened to step on the scale and was shocked. I weigh more than I ever have before at a total of 224lbs. What the hell! I am in need of somer serious food intake watching. That's it.. no more sugars for me. No more sodas, cookies, late night ceral bowls, or pizza orders. Time to break out the salads and disgusting healthy foods.

I have been feeling a bit larger than normal lately but Vero and I have been doing some extra physical activities such as Bike Riding, moving furniture and other belonging into storage, and other activities where we sweat it up. *hint, hint* :D

I am getting back on track with a 3 day per week workout schedule. I will be running 3 miles at a normal pace on Monday and Friday. On Wednesday, I will be running a mile and half at a faster pace to see what time placement I get. I should be seeing some improvements quickly. This sucks. I hate feeling like i am overweight. I feel like other people notice it. I feel I can not fit into my old "smooth looking" clothes and have to wear frumpy shit. WTF! Yes, definitly time for a change.

Well, on another note. Our hook up at H&R Block, Michelle, stopped by this site and left a comment on one for my entries. However, she forget to leave her email address. What's up with that? Michelle, leave an email address! :)

What a wonderful birthday!

I tell you... this 28th birthday started out just peachy. The day before my birthday, yesterday, I walked out in the morning to get into my car and go to work. Just after putting my bag and laptop case in the trunk, I opened my driver side door and found that my car have been burglerized. Apparently, somehow, my car door was openned or I left it open and someone helped themselves to the contents of my car. The looser didnt make off with much. Just my wallet, a MAG flashlight, a small broken flashlight, a couple broken lighters, my deceased grandmother's picture, a pack of old cigarettes, and a handful of pennies. The thief handled and chose not to take my cell phone or vallet key to the car however he or she did leave me a few things... Some greasy finger prints on my window and overhead cab light. It looked like the thief had been eating fried chicken just before putting his/her paws on my property. Lucky for him/her, the prints where smeared and unliftable. Bleh!

Anyhow, like I said... what a wonderful way to start off a Birthday. Vero made it come to a 180 degree turn around by suprising me with a cake and balloons when I got home from work. Yay! I love birthday cakes and suprises! She is so wonderful to me. Later on today, after we wake up, we will be going for a fun bike ride around New Orleans. We are thinking of hitting up the City Park and UNO area. After that, we will do out taxes! hehe.. got to get some more income!

I recently had a few days off from work and spent them very well with Vero. We took care of a lot of needed business. I got to say, our place looks really cool now! We will soon be redecorating our cave. Right now we are preparing and scoping out deals on fabrics and other nice stuff. I will be taking pictures once we are done with our plans.

Speaking of pictures. Vero reminded me that I have not touched my camera in a long time. What a shame! No wonder I feel a sort of emptiness. I will have to remember to take it out with us as we go bike riding tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder there Vero.

Well enough of all that. Time for me to hit the sack so I can wake up and start all my birthday stuff. Everything thing I want is what I get on my birthday. God it is good to be spoiled!

Dead Fish!

Fish crisis in my house this past couple days. We used to have 6 fish in our 10 gallon tank (5 goldfish and 1 betta). As of yesterday afternoon, we only have two left. Something was picking off the goldfish one by one. In a desperate attempt to keep the remaining fish alive, I went to Walmart and bought some fish medicine and an oxygen pump system. Bleh... kind of a waste of money but dammit, I feel I have a responsibility to these fish that were given to me for Valentine's Day. So far, after the water treatment and new arrangements, a few hours have passed and the two fishes are looking well. They are darting back and forth in the tank enjoying the open space to roam.

I suppose in a couple days, or sometime after payday, I will purchase a couple more to replace the dead ones. It's a good thing we got some cheap fish to start off with. No use buying any expensive "test" fish.

Vero thinks that I give the fish way too much attention but damn, I never really had an aquarium before and I like it. (she is just jealous.. hehe) It's like a side hobby now other than the work on the computer and websites. I find it relaxing and in some strange way... a sense of reason. Don't ask what that means. It is just one of those things that makes sense to me, myself, and I. hehe... nite nite.. time for sleep. Way past my bedtime!

Hijole!

Takes me way too long to update this little site of mine. Yes, I know! I am trying to get to it as I can. I have been far too busy with several other side activities such as Mardi Gras here in New Orleans. Vero and I had a great time with all the parades and a day in the French Quarter. We managed to collect a good number of beads (enought to fill a treasure chest) and other 'throws'. I took a lot of pictures and uploaded them to my picture gallery.

Today, after watching the movie 'Saw' with Vero, I was reminded of the classmates website. I forgot I had a profile on there and had some information regarding my previous marriage. I found that I had created a photo album on there as well which contained some images from my 1st marriage. In respect to my wife, I removed the images and tried adding new pictures. Unfortunately, I had to be a GOLD member in order to use the feature. What a rip! There is no way in hell that I will be spending Thirty-something dollars for that service when I could put food in my fridge for a week at that cost.

Anyhow.. thats all for now. Just wanted to update this thing with a little useless information. As ussual, visitors to my website are invited to participate in my other website, SoyChicano.com. We have over 9,000 members now! Wippeeee!

Awaiting 2005

The New Year 2005 is almost upon us. Just a few more hours to go. Vero and I spent most of the day driving around New Orleans and other parts of LA in search for chorizo. Each place we visited was either out of business (Albertsons) or no longer carries this specialty item. What a bummer. We ended up settling on Subway for her and a bowl of cereal for me. There is one little mexican market that makes thier own flavors of chorizo but none of thier three choices are apealing to us. Oh well...

I am about to jump in the shower and get ready for our adventure downtown New Orleans (French Quarter) to see how the Nawlins folks do it here. We might get out of there a little early to enjoy some firework shows around the area. It is 5 pm and the sounds of blasting fireworks can already be heard. It has been a while since I celebrated New Years like a normal average party goer. The last time, and pretty much only time was during the 2000 New Years celebration in which I was ported in Key West, FL. Oh what fun!

I expect to take some good photographs tonight. I will be posting them in my online gallery. Friends and Family who know the address can see them there.

Until Next Year... be safe and God Bless!
